At Gethsemane Lutheran Church, we feel that mission work is very important. In the past we have held fund raisers all year doing things like Rent-A-Kid, a car wash, a Bargain Bin and a bake sale. We take pride in the fact that we can help those less fortunate than us. We definitely know that God has blessed us and want to share those blessings with those less fortunate than us. It is time to start thinking about the mission trip toAtlanta again. The dates this year are Sunday, June 8 - Monday, June 16, 2008. We will leave Gethsemane about 6am on that Sunday and arrive back around supper on that second Monday. You are welcome to stay over at the church the night of Saturday, June 7, in order to be ready to leave early on Sunday. We have beds and showers.
The cost this year will be $300 per person, excluding sponsors. We hope that will cover the cost of registration, vans, recreation and travel meals. Mall and snack money (when we are not traveling) is each person's responsibility. If this amount is a burden, please let us know. We can probably work out some assistance.
