We got to be the face of Jesus to other people who may not have seen Him. It was a humbling experience yet an exciting one as we represented Christ to the people of Atlanta/Conyers. In this photo, Pastor Jim got attacked by the trees to paint a house.
In the Footprints poem, Jesus said that "When you only saw one set of footprints it was then that I was carrying you." That is what we felt like as we and our groups worked together. Total strangers met and worked together for four days. It was a great experience to get to meet people from all over the United States to represent Christ and "carry" these people. In the above photo, Faith looks down at her feet to see who may be carrying her during a long day's work.
At worship each night, there were skits, dramas, and, of course, music. Our youth band got a chance to lead the music time at one of those nightly worships. The three photos above are some highlights. It was a great experience to see some of the different talents of the groups and youth that were in Conyers. Of course, it would not be a mission trip without one of the youth's favorite traditions--shaving Mike bald!
